[ooc: Tyki is in prison, but for the purposes of this event he's unconscious in his cell, with a subconscious projection of him conscious in his room. He's confined to the space of his rooms, however, and unlikely to be doing harm to anyone

[These rooms are really quite pleasant; the ones that Pharos has been in so far, at least, despite them being obviously a bit on the warn side. It was nothing like Zelman's mansion or the rooms in the Castle, and Pharos is peering past Tyki and out the window, watching the people outside with a small and pleased smile on his face.]

Is this the type of place that you like, Tyki?

[phaseshifts]

[Tyki is fidgeting with his hands in his pockets, digging around for his pack of cigarettes. He looks up when Pharos speaks rather as if he'd forgotten the boy was there, and looks around the room at his question, in a way that suggests distant confusion.]

... It's nice, isn't it?

[bedninja]

[He may not have been there before for Tyki to notice him in the first place. He does have a rather bad habit of coming and going as he pleases, after all. It is rather curious that Tyki seems oddly lost here, though. It was his, wasn't it?]

It is a rather nice place, yes.

Hve you been here before?

[phaseshifts]

Ah. [He finally fumbles out a cigarette from the pack, and slides it in his mouth without lighting it... glancing around again once he's chewing on the rolled tobacco.]

Someplace very much like it, at least...

[...peering at the cigarette a bit curiously. It's the first time he's really seen this Tyki smoke - even if it's not lit.]

What about the place that you've been to and this one is different?

[phaseshifts]

Ah, well... you could get outside, in that other place. And there weren't so many rooms, but more people...

[bedninja]

...Do you not know where you are, Tyki? [Oho. That was certainly interesting... generally people could recognize it when they were in their own heads. Couldn't they?]

[phaseshifts]

[He's pretty out of it. The conscious mind being smothered into sleep by the castle... well, it'll do that to you.

The question causes him to pause again, looking around.]

... I'm at home.

[bedninja]

[Curiouser and curiouser.]

Then this is where you live, typically?

[phaseshifts]

[Gnawing on his cigarette, staring out the window.]

Ah, no. It's long gone.

[bedninja]

A home that is gone... [Propping his elbows on the windowsill. He seems much more interested in the people outside than the inside itself.] Quite interesting that you should be here now then, do you not think?

[phaseshifts]

[He watches Pharos now, in turn.]

This shouldn't be here. [He doesn't think.]

[bedninja]

Likely not, if it does not actually exist in the waking world any longer. But when has the Castle ever played by rules of what should and should not be?

It does not even obey my rules.

[phaseshifts]

What are you doing here, anyway?

[bedninja]

Is it bad that I am here? [Tilting his head a little.] I knew you were here, and so I decided that I would come to see you. And look around, if you did not particularly mind me doing so.

[phaseshifts]

[He tilts his head. Bad isn't exactly the word he would use... but still, it's unsettling in a way he can't quite quantify. He looks slightly over Pharos' head, though, into the winding halls.]

It gets dark back there.
