[Spike opens the door to his room and drops his journal. He just woke up in Wes' room covered in dirt and broken flower pot, so this is the first time he's been here recently. [It takes Spike a moment to latch onto her voice and... break out of his slightly freaked out state. But he does, closing his eyes and breathing deeply to calm himself, even if the oxygen doesn't really do a thing for him. Tobacco does, though, once he lights up a cigarette. He grabs his journal.]

I'm all right. Just... I'm fine.

Just... had a bit of a shock is all. But I am all right. [And leaving his room right now. Maybe Wes has a guest room or something. Or Fred has a couch.]

I've been on some sort of loss. Apparently as a cactus. Is, uh, anything particularly strange happening with the castle lately?

[ She's not the least bit surprised by that... strangely. Maybe she's getting more used to the castle than she liked to admit. ]
