[Homura knows she shouldn't use her magic when she has no idea as to what will happen to her Soul Gem while in this world, but surely using it in moderation will be alright, shouldn't it? ... She'd find an alternative to Grief Seeds if she had to, anyway.
In any case, anyone coming across Homura today will find her outside on the castle grounds, transformed and beating up a metal barrel she managed to come across with a golf club. This is... pretty hilarious to watch, probably, but she doesn't have the materials to make explosives and can't figure out how to go about asking people about it without having to explain why she needs them... not to mention Homura's pretty sure the castle wouldn't give her any even if she wanted.
