[Guess who's actually been reading about things like tanks thanks to having to be a strategist? This gal.]

Those large land-based war machines, right? That'd be quite an ambitious project.

Was it that flying one you were speaking of? You sure do keep busy; though I suppose anything along these lines would be very useful to have in a fight, if what I read of their capabilities is correct. It's far greater than anything we had at home.

This is it, and this is nowhere near busy compared to what I deal with at home. Needed something to take my mind how much free time I have hear.

It's 26th century machinery, I doubt many worlds have anything really similar.

Do you think I could look as you work on it? I'm interested in seeing how any of this actually functions. As both a teacher and a trainer, I should keep studying, as well. Especially if it concerns weaponry or tactics.

It's pretty much finished, but we will be taking it up soon and you're more than welcome to check it out then.

And if I start a tank, you're absolutely welcome to watch. Be careful though, I might put you to work.

It'd be worth it to see how it actually works outside of grainy photograph sin books.

I'll keep that in mind.

[Not that she wouldn't mind work but she would be baffled by all the tools.]

Hopefully it'll work pretty well.

[Kat's observant enough that she wouldn't put Alleyne to a task any harder than she thought she could handle. Challenging, maybe, but not without direction and not impossible.]

You'd have better understanding of it than I if you can build one from scratch like that, so I'm trusting it will.

[Don't you want her to accidentally the whole power drill into the ground or something?]

I grew up in these things. That experience with the schematics meant it wasn't really hard to figure out.

[Hey, the decals aren't putting themselves on.]
