And Wild Bill's death and hand are rather unique aren't they? I haven't even heard of any other thing similar in any other sport myself, its fascinating no?

And yes, it is, quite fascinating indeed. They've named plenty of awards and venues and the like for famous athletes, and certain sports retire player numbers in honor of them, as well ... but I've never heard of anything else being named in that exact manner, for that exact reason. People really are peculiar, sometimes. [and he couldn't sound happier about it!]

And yes they have, awards, venues, once in a grand while you will even see an event named after someone, a famous person or a local hero or some such thing. But for that exact reasoning? No, not at all. But its also that same peculiarity that lends those in the scientific community to name things after themselves as well, but that is an entirely different thing. [And someone who will chat about peculiar social behavior? He's sounding very happy right now.]

Yes, well, if we don't name things after ourselves, we just figure the others will go ahead and take all the good things for themselves once we're gone, I suppose.
