My papa said that our past is what shapes us so we should always remember it. Plus if you have a lot of good memories it's nice to remember then so you can be happy.

No. I have memories...things after something happened but nothing else. I don't know my parents...I didn't know my name until I met Alice.

Well that's a good place to start! And you can always make more memories! Good ones especially! [She knows he can't see her through the journal but she still gives him a reassuring grin.]

Really! My friends have names like Kohza and Igaram and Pell! Dextera sounds really cool! Dextera! Dextera! Dextera! [She repeats it a few times, testing putting the accent on different syllables. And a few more times, just for good measure.]
