Right! I've mentioned this before, and was going to bring it up again but things got a bit complicated. Shortly after we returned home from our little cruise I was, shall we say, sent home for a bit? I'm fine, of course, I just have a few new memories rattling around.
But! Now it's time to work. I mentioned some time ago the plan to resurrect something called Code Blair. I've been working on it since, but now it's time to put it into action.
For those of you who may be new to the castle: Code Blair is a plan to protect the children in the castle should something occur. The idea is to have volunteers from every floor who are charged with knowing what children are on their floor and with keeping track of and assisting those children in the case of danger. For example, York and Delta maintain a list of all the children on their floor. The castle changes and we're suddenly in danger of being overrun by, oh I don't know, vicious plants or some such nonsense. York and Delta seek out all the children on their list and make sure they get to the TARDIS, or some other safe location, unharmed.
The other purpose of the project is to maintain a list of all the children in the castle. Some months ago there was a creature kidnapping children. There was one child who was taken whose name I did not know until we rescued her. The only reason I knew there was another child missing was her cries were heard over the journal, but they were answered by no one. No one knew she was missing. That should never happen. Even if they haven't been at the castle very long, there is no reason their cries should go unheard, unrecognized. None.
I know a number of you volunteered the last time I brought this up. Please, sign up and tell me which floor you'd like. I know there are more than enough of us to cover all of them. I believe one for each floor and one for each tower as a minimum should ensure we're better prepared to watch over the children, here.
[That being said, he's heading down to talk to the one person who'd definitely signed up for a floor. He heads down to his door and has his hand up to knock... when he sees that his nameplate's gone. He sighs and pulls out his journal once again]
Anyone who knew him... Darkwing Duck has gone home.
