[Early Saturday afternoon, a little after lunch, Daine decides it's finally time to take a look at the shooting range, specifically the area set aside for archery. Even though it had been over a week since the residents had been transported to the high seas, the young woman still felt some sense of irritability about the whole ordeal. Pirates were not very high up on her list of well liked types of people.
So out she goes, armed with her own bow and a quiver containing a few arrows. Given that it's meant for practice, she figures it's safe to assume that there will be arrows provided for archers, and lo, once she arrives, she finds plenty ready for use.
That was a few hours ago. Of course, between then and the current time of late afternoon, Daine has taken a long break involving food and relaxation, but once she feels able, she's back to aiming at targets placed a pretty impressive distance away.
The journal's open on the ground next to her, every now and then picking up the rhythmic TWANG of the bowstring as she lets an arrow fly.]
I s'pose there are others here who know their way around a bow and quiver. I'd like to see if techniques vary between worlds. Maybe learn something new. [Pause.] Or just chat. Either's good.
