OAK TREE nurturing July 9 2011, 04:53:11 UTC
[ As usual the oak blessed by the Life-Binders powers remains as soothing and vibrant as always, the air warm and sweet. Not a thing remains out of place and in fact it seems even more empowered than usual this evening; the leaves glow faintly in the fair summer evening and the trunk's base lets off a healthy shimmer that releases tiny particles of light into the air.

This is where you'll want to be♥

THREADJACK, JUMP, ANYTHING. have at it. ]

[ and it is exactly where the assassin makes his way to, arriving not too long after receiving his letter. he likes to be prompt when it comes to matters like this. once there, he allows the horse to go off and graze while he finds a nice spot underneath the tree to sit and wait. ]

[Cross comes up to the tree not long after, having taken the time to walk over and turn over Alexstrasza's offer some more. He found himself coming to the same answer as he got closer to the tree, and finally he just had to take a deep breath and clear his mind.

The figure already under the tree catches his attention, but he will give him his space for the moment.]

[ he had turned the offer over many times himself, each time coming to the same conclusion, he needed no more time to dwell on it. instead his spent the time taking a cat nap of all things, only rousing at the sound of foreign footfalls approaching.

hmm. never once did he deluded himself into thinking he was the only one to receive the offer, even so it was still a surprise on some level to see another at the tree. he had gotten used to the lack of other during his odd visits...

ah but he does not want to be rude, so he bows his head a little in silent greeting. ]

[ With all she would hear the vows of gathered Alexstrasza's essence and aura begin to flood the area. The tiny balls of light that illuminate the area become akin to tiny lanterns as their warm glow turns a soft gold, filling the air like fireflies. All around them the grass is illuminated.

At the base of the great tree the roots shine brightest, and it is here from which the feeling of serenity emanates like a beacon, drawing them closer to a single blossoming rose bearing petals the color of refracted light.

It is from this rose that her voice speaks and echoes gently, warm and full of unconditional love for all life: the plants, the tree...and each of them. ]

Mortals, humans, allies...friends. It warms my heart and humbles my mind to see you all before me. Many a time have you been given then chance to turn back and yet here you still stand. With great pride I watch you all now, regardless of whatever words you have come to give. Of all the mortals I have known I have found those present to be the most dedicated and trustworthy ( ... )

[Damn, Alexstrasza, you sure do know how to put on a show. If it couldn't catch any one of these persons' attentions, then maybe fireflies that turn into fireballs would be required.

Just kidding, by the way. But maybe not really.

Cross's attention lands on the bright, illuminating rose at the case of the tree, listening to the Dragonqueen's voice reverberate throughout his ears and head. Her words recall his thoughts heading over here, and once again he finds himself turning issues and situations over and over in his head. He makes sure to push them to the side as he listens to her, focusing on those two questions.

Those two all important question, certainly the ones that call upon the most powerful of answers.

It was now, or never. And as he cleared his throat and nodded his head once, firmly, resolutely, he knew what his answer would be, and everything else would fall into place.]

My decision is concrete, Alexstrasza.

[ Relief washes over her at his words--but still, duty proclaims she give one final prompt for assurance. Her tone is respectful and gentle as she addresses him once more ]

There is no doubt left in your mind?

[The only thing really nagging at him was his Innocence. But, if it wanted to turn on him and make him become a self-destructive vessel, it could cause that at any moment. It could have happened way before this moment, and it could happen way after it.

Or it could not happen at all.

Time. It always came down to time. But, Cross was willing to wait and see what would happen. He's been waiting 35+ years for Nea, after all.]

No, there is none.
