[ There's a lot of hustlin' and bustlin' in the city today! Some of you may have heard that there's a grand parade coming up soon, and now preparations for it are in full swing. Workers are hanging up decorations here and there, and many a merchant is now offering masks in various styles and complexity. The bigger, brighter, and more extravagant, the more expensive, of course. Drop some of your hard-earned cash on one if you feel like it, or just yoink one when no one's looking. You're pirates, remember? ]

[ Now that you think about it, you're able to move a lot more easier if you wear 'em. No one seems to question you, even if you wear your masks just a day earlier than the celebration date. Oh, and there are nice suits up for sale. ]

[ Poor girl. It's the second day she's managed to stay up during the day. She's a bit irritated, but it's the day before the parade! gotta.... rock it... so have a little girl, with bat wings and an umbrella walking up and down the grand canal. oddly enough, the girl never takes bridges and shoots for walking on straight paths ]

[ midnighter is somewhere nearby. as the first overtly non-human person he's seen in the city, she gets a second glance ]

[ life of a haxx vamp. she can feel the eyes on her, so she turns and trains her freaky red eyes on you. ] Hm?

They oversee the festival, yes. [ twirls her umbrella and moves to step in the shade a bit. boo, sun. ] But some of the more wealthier residents go to them and make sure their private parties don't get any uninvited guests.

I'll allow that to slide just this once. You're quite lucky that I find most of you so interesting. [ huhuhu~ ] Sunlight still weakens me a bit, but I suppose a walk around is just fine.
