Got it in a shop back in town. I've been restoring it off and on since; it was pretty rusted when I got it. I just don't feel quite as right wielding a sword or gun, as reliable as they are.
[Well that's a relief! She almost smiles. Almost. The fact she can do this, even inadvertently, for others while on this horrible trip is oddly comforting.]
I'm glad I could do that then. Was he good with it? Did you ever pick up how to use one as a result?
Spears in general are different; I found them easier to use in the forests back home, though. Swords are a perfect starting point for anyone, though, and the basics of fighting can apply to most any style or weapon.
That's what I like to hear. Full marks for spirit; good to see this hasn't gotten any of you down. If you want to fight well, you need to know how to endure hardship, so this will harden you all well enough on its own.
