[ Yeah, there's not a lot to see or do, really. Walk past the 'beach' and you'll start hitting the mainland. It's hard to tell the difference, though: it's all sand. Oh, and this giant hand is there to greet you. Carved into the palm is the name "DEATH HILL". ]
[Pippin is all decked out for adventuring with the new scarf he bought in Leukos wrapped around his head, a full waterskin on one hip and his sword at the other.
[ This place is a ghost town. There's no sign of life in it at all, unless you count the rattlesnakes you can hear and the scorpions you can see crawling about. Houses are half buried in sand, walls are blown open, and the place doesn't look like it's seen habitation any time within the last decade. What gives? ]
[ Just as you're about to call it quits, you hear a nearby conversation. It doesn't sound like anyone from your crew... Soon enough, just over the hill, two strangers on camels make their way into town. You can't really pick out any specific words in their conversation as they ride up, but judging from their tone they seemed to be just as surprised as you are. ]
[And here comes one of them now! She has her camel at a significantly slower pace now that she sees a group of scallywags about, narrowing her eyes at them in consideration.]
[ And behind her, there's a younger girl on her own camel. She rides up to Jun's side and tugs on one of her sleeves. If she could be hiding behind her, she probably would. ]
[ Somebody manages to find a stable building, a bar that isn't half buried in sand, to shade yourselves from the sun. It's not much, but at least the building is still usable. More than a few people are bothered by a desert's heat, so it's best to find some shade and chill out for a while. Don't want anybody to get a heat stroke. And if you ask nicely, maybe the two visitors will split some of their rations with you. Doesn't hurt to ask, right? ]
[ There's some framed newspaper clippings up on the wall... something about a treasure buried in Death Hill. There's nothing concrete, all rumors and speculations, but you could always try asking the two visitors about it. They might have some ideas. ]

Not sure.

It's an ominous name, that's go sure. Doesn't exactly inspire a person to stop by for a visit.

They didn't say anything about pirates...

It's just one surprise after another. [Sigh.]
Well, considering how many there are, it's best to just keep our cool for now.
