Getting to play around on a real beach, assuming it was real anyway, sure was nostalgic. Every time I see one it just reminds me of Sakura. I keep wishing she could have seen a real one. I wonder if the one I built at the Foundation would have been good enough?
If only it was just that. I don't know what the hell to even think right now. I always considered the possibility of seeing Chie again, and knowing she would have forgotten me. But expecting it and dealing with it are two different things. I felt like a deer caught in the headlights. That's the right saying, isn't it? Then to know she wasn't even the same... She still had the same interests and aspirations, but living on that island all her life?
It was probably stupid of me to take advantage of that. But eating breakfast with her, and then just hanging out...like we used to before everything got so messed up... I'm glad I got that chance again, even if it didn't mean anything to her.
Part of me wishes I could have stayed. Damnit...

At first I thought only some of us were brought to this place, but now I've heard there are other ships. If you aren't on the same ship as me, let me know your status, please? What's been going on?
So far we haven't run into any serious trouble. We came across a pretty spiffy island called Leukos yesterday, but the natives didn't really like us being there, so we could only stay one night. There's also...something you might want to know if you didn't already.
Chie was there, but she was different. She wasn't brought back by the castle, at least not to be with us. She remembers being on that island her whole life. Has that...happened with anyone else so far? Altered memories?
She mentioned that they used to be attacked by pirates all the time until the Navy stepped in, so if we run into them we better make it clear we aren't pirates.

[ yeah, normally he'd have more to say, but his brain is still sort of shutdown due to obvious events, so he's going to shut the journal for a bit and hang out on the deck. he doesn't like the hammocks that much, anyway, and someone should be keeping an eye on things outside in case they're attacked.
he can do that while
playing a song on his harmonica, though. lucky it was in the case attached to his belt. it's been quite awhile since he actually played. feel free to interrupt him, though! ]
