First Deduction

Jun 10, 2011 17:44

[Edogawa Conan was no stranger to waking up in strange locations. It was only to be expected when you spent as much time chasing criminals as he did. Both as a high school detective and as an elementary school detective he had run into such a situation more than his fair share of times.

Waking up in a place that strongly resembled an expensive hotel room? And with no clues as to the method of his arrival? Now that was different and troubling.

He'd investigated the room, of course. The door was unlocked and there was no sign of anything out of place in the room. Not even a monitoring device. All he'd found was this journal. Judging from the entries already recorded on it's pages it seemed to be some sort of communication method. But the actual operation of this method had him stumped.

After inspecting the journal thoroughly he at last decides to try an experiment. In deliberately clumsy handwriting he jots in a quick message.]

Is anyone there?

I think I'm very lost. I looked and looked and I can't find Uncle or Ran anywhere! Is there a police officer here? At school they said I should find one if I got lost. That's right, isn't it?

But the person who brought me here was very mean. Don't you think? They didn't ask me if I wanted to visit a castle at all!

[Later, any person in the hallway might be able to spot a small boy wandering through the hallways with a carefuly crafted expression of bright curiosity on his face.]
