[Larry has been either at work at Caritas, being only as social as need be, or cooped up in his room for the past couple of weeks. The whole baby thing really bugged him and he dealt with it the only way he knows how. Badly ( Read more... )

Apparently vampires have been running amok and not so long ago, the castle gave people children.

I've only been here two weeks myself and I've already been pranked by talking ponies, got mistaken for someone else and got hit in the face with an apple.

I heard about that. It's what this place does.

Two weeks? Well I guess I can still say welcome at this point. It sounds like you're settling in like the best of us.

It's crazy.

Thanks for the welcome. If I survive a month here, I think I could survive anything at this point.

Don't challenge this place like that.

But isn't it kind of dangerous right now?

Is it?

I think so. There are people and...vampires fighting.

Oh...I heard something about the vampires, but I wasn't sure how bad it was.

[Sup, Larry, how's things? Have a Lorne wandering over]

Same old, same old. Things have gone crazy, people act crazy back. You know how it goes.

[smirks at Lorne and nods]

It says something that this has become our "same old, same old".

If everyone acted normal for a week, I think the world would explode.

[and Larry just grins. He missed his bro. Even...though he's still kinda seen him.]

Here's to the world not exploding. [he raises his glass.]

[organize lessons, scope out one of the safe zones for the Patrol. two birds, one stone. Mark thinks it's a pretty decent idea. arming himself with a nine-iron and a cross on a silver chain tucked under his t-shirt, he makes his way down from town to Caritas. using the club like a walking stick, he makes his way over to the bar and pipes up to no one in particular]

Uh, hi, I'm looking for Larry?

[Larry hears his name and looks up, and...stares. Okay. This looks interesting. He's also talked to this kid before, hasn't he?]

I'm Larry.

Oh! Hey, hi. [he offers a sheepish grin, and a hand for a handshake] I'm Mark, we've talked over the journals a couple times...? You'd offered lessons. I was hoping I could still take you up on 'em.

[shakes his hand and smiles]

Absolutely. Have you ever played before?

[ Piper's still ignoring the whole baby fiasco. Ignoring it and not dealing with it and using up her energy with something else seems to be the way to go in this craphole. And possibly learning the piano after dropping it so many years ago thanks to the Water Demon? Might do the trick. ]

Are you looking for people to teach from scratch?

If that's what they need, yes.

How do you feel about teaching someone who once learned the piano, but has forgotten all the key points? [ Because Piper would be guilty of that. So very guilty. :| ]
