[Ted's chilling in the lobby with his two kids, eating some waffles while they play with his journal and the assorted toys around them. It's quite a cheerful, relaxed scene. The two kids are obviously enamored with their play, the journal is getting manhandled, and Ted might be close to dozing off. Or, at least, something close to it, considering the castle's restrictions.
It seems cheerful and relaxed until Luke starts hogging the journal. Noises of disagreement can be heard between the children as they begin to fight over the journal. During a point in their argument, Luke shoves Portia's face away with his hand. And, equipped with sharp fangs, she bites his fingers.
The scream that erupts from Luke (and directly over the journal for all to hear!) literally causes Ted to jump off the couch, causing the plate to fall onto the ground, syrup drizzling from it onto the carpet. Ted doesn't give his discarded meal a second thought and rushes over to gather Luke up. A single drop of the red blood hits the open journal as Ted struggles to calm his loudly crying half-troll child.]
Oh god, what happened? Shhhh, shhh, it's okay, it's okay. --Portia, did you bite him?!
[Anyone who stumbles into the lobby around this time will find Ted biting his lip as he uses a wet cloth he wished up to wipe Luke's fingers, who is complaining quite loudly (really, this kid just has the best set of lungs), and Portia, who... is just innocently fumbling around with the journal, turning the pages, and not really seeming to care about the disaster she caused.]
