[Looking over at the sound of his name, he comes to sit beside her again.]

Wow, you're a really good artist.

[ she looks at the drawing. she has nothing to gauge by, so she believes that ]

[He tilted his head to watch her, pushing glasses up his nose habitually.]

[ WOW, what is being asked your opinion ........ have a tiny shrug ]

I just don't wanna go back.

Would you like to stay with me instead?

[percepts]

[ fffffffff ;; she hesitates, and nods vigorously ]

You're nice. Why are you nice?

[derpish]

[Aww. His heart pangs again, remembering what it was like being a small child among adults who were only businesslike.]

Well now, that's a real mystery isn't it? Maybe if you stay with me long enough you could help me find out? The mystery of Cain's Niceness! Are you up to the challenge?

[percepts]

[ she'll pretty much agree to anything that doesn't involve going back to that place, so she nods excitedly again ]

Can we go back for the others, too?

[Assuming this is the Nudge he had met, and not an entirely different one with a coincidental name and the same looks, then this must be a loss. So he only had to stall her for a week or two...]

[ she nods solemnly. she's never been outside of the school, so she doesn't know how to find it, but she supplies helpfully: ] It's in a forest. I don't want to leave them there..

He feels his heartstrings tugged so fiercely his breath is taken away. Daddy? No, he wasn't father material, had never imagined himself having children.

But he couldn't just leave her, could he?]

[ she only thinks about it for a few seconds. she doesn't know how this happened, and she's a little scared and confused, but the most important thing is that she's not at the School any more, Cain is kind, and she doesn't understand why, but she feels close to him. thank you, castle
