[A thoughtful pause... followed by some shuffling while he looks for a pen of his own. After half a minute, a little squiggly doodle appears on the page.]

Och... well, this one doesnae seem possessed, but I wouldane put it past this place that yours are.

[his_sarah_jane]

[She frowns when the doodle appears, not at all pleased.]

Hello, I'm Marian! It's nice to meet you. I've been here before too and don't remember anything of it, but thankfully the residents here are very understanding.

Is there something wrong with the pens today?

I have absolutely no idea. But it's not just the pens. Any writing implement I reach for simply won't let me pick it up.

[BEST friend? Oh really now, that's interesting]

Uh--yeah. Yeah, I do. Me and my, um--my wife--we travel around with him back home.

Another companion of the Doctor's? Well then, it's very nice to meet you.

Apparently he's been here for some time now.

Oh, I guess I haven't met him. Is he a human?

No. He's Gallifreyan. A Time Lord. [There's a mocking tone in Sarah's voice as she speaks the last two words.] And do trust me when I say you'd remember him if you've met him. He's... quite unforgettable.

[You hear what sounds like someone snacking on something soft. You happened to catch Meiling getting a midnight snack. After she hears you, she stops and replies back.]

Oh, hello, Miss Sarah! I'm Meiling! You're awfully polite! How are you, outside of your strange writing problem?

Oh, eh, thank you, I suppose.

[There's a pause, as she thinks of what to say next.]

I suppose I'm doing well. A bit overwhelmed to be completely honest.

[derpling]

You too, huh? Did this place dump it on you from the get go as well? That's not reassuring at all.

Well, at the very least, I have a friend here. He was, in fact, the very first person I saw.
