[ she wakes up with a sharp pain punctuating her head. she doesn't instantly recognize the clinic, squinting against the bright lights and taking a moment to sit up. she rubs her temple and then slowly climbs off the mattress.
with a quick glance to the calender pinned to the wall, kate realizes she's been out for too long in the castle. an ephemeral feeling -- she remembers everything from home. had it only been a couple of weeks? it felt like she had been gone for over a year.
needless to say, she didn't like this sense of feeling she had been lost for a while. ]
[ having followed kate into the clinic in its mysterious way, her journal picks up shuffling noises as kate moves about the room, looking for something.
she speaks up after a couple of minutes. casually: ]
What did I miss? [ a beat. ] Besides Passover, I think.
