[and in through the front doors she waltzes! You've all missed her, haven't you? And you've all noticed that she was gone for nearly a month, right? Of course you have! And, in the unlikely event that you have not, you should probably act like you have, and pretend that you've missed her, if you want to avoid being bitched at. She flips the journal ( Read more... )

[Yeah, well, he hasn't missed her at all. In fact, he's enjoyed the quiet SO THERE.

And if he so happens to wander into the kitchen, it's not because he's been looking for her, it's because he just wanted to make something to eat. Which he'll do while pointedly ignoring her.

Faye, what Faye?]

[hmm... she sets the rest of her sandwich aside and quietly slides off the counter and wanders closer. Peeking around his arm from a step or two away to see what kind of sandwich he's making...]

[Even with her close proximity, he's doing well at ignoring her. It's a delicious sandwich indeed, a BLT with all the trimmings. Doesn't it look tasty, Faye?]

[it really does. And so, she expertly waits for him to be reaching for something else--screwing the lid on the mayo or something--before she strikes. Can't have his hands free with those snakey reflexes and everything. As soon as she sees her opening, she slips an arm around and slides the plate over.

...Mmm sandwich!]

[He stills in his jar-opening activities to turn his head slightly to observe her]

Don't you already have your own sandwich?

This one looked better.

[which, is true. Her sandwich is sad compared to this awesome one with six thousand years of practice behind it. She takes a bite of it mmmm]

[He watches her eat his hard-grafted sandwich for a moment, before turning to lean on the kitchen counter, pretending he doesn't care she's taken food before he can even taste any of it]

So, decided against leaving for the town, hmm?

It's still a thought.

[He chuckles a little, both arms snaking around her midriff and pulling her in. Shouldn't of leaned in so close to take that sandwich, Faye]

You won't go. It's not exciting enough for you.

[and hey, apparently she's been away long enough, because she doesn't immediately try to wriggle away. ...She does move her arms enough that she doesn't drop her sandwich though. She worked hard to steal that thing fair and square.]

And you think this place is exciting enough for me?

[Oh that's good. The lack of wriggling and/or violence is indeed good]

You of all people know how to make this place more exciting, Valentine.
