Between the three of them, they’ve poked and prodded and scanned Slenderman’s cave as much as possible from the surface, but there’s a time when nothing else besides exploration will do. Which is why, as three TARDII materialize in the lobby of the castle, Ten’s cheerful voice

THE MOUTH OF THE CAVERN

[The TARDII have been parked just a bit back from the edge, with climbing equipment shared with all. Anyone needing help can ask, but you’ve been warned. Scans show that the way ahead is treacherous at best, so don’t go wandering off on your own. No need to ask for more trouble than is already on the table]

[already eager to head inside, Ten has a climbing rope in hand...but he's ignoring the temptation to jump straight in in favor of making sure no one's being completely foolish]

Everyone got someone with them? No one wandering off alone? Remember, it's an exploration, not a rescue. Let's try to keep it as such.

[Listens for a moment, hovering at the edge of things, before following after Lately.

But a flash of bright hair manages to announce her pretty much wherever she is.]

Delirium...? [pausing with his hand on the rope, brow creasing in concern] Delirium, you really shouldn't be so close to the edge.

[did she even have climbing equipment? Someone isn't quite acquainted with they ways of Del]

THE WORLD BELOW

[The alternate gravity created by Slenderman is gone, meaning what was once up is now down, and the "trees" look much more like the roots they are supposed to be, creating a cavern below. This cavern is also collapsing as Paradisa slowly fills it back up.

The cavern is somewhat difficult to navigate. Paradisa's normal fields that prevent people from seeing too deep appear sporadically, sometimes allowing people to see/scan what's ahead, and other times blocking it. Some areas have collapsed or are in danger of it. The roots of the trees are the only things keeping the place together down there. Some places also have water running down. Some places that have collapsed or "dropped" may seem deceptively easy to climb or walk over, but if the dirt is too loosely packed, it may collapse again, or the traveler may fall through.

The entire place is in a heavy state of collapse, so it likely won't be around much longer.

Science types can test samples and explorers can brave the treacherous surfaces. Just be careful out there.]

[having earth below his feet again is something Five is far, far, FAR more grateful for than he'd ever thought possible.

don't mind him, he'd completely forgotten his loss, and he'll just be crouched on the ground for a moment while his hearts come back down to their normal rate. it's mostly sheer stubbornness and pride that got him down here - and it'll take much of the same to get him back up]

[York was one of the first to reach the bottom (unsurprisingly after Tony Stark's modifications to his armor), and Delta is floating nearby and casting an odd green glow over everything.]

[he won't even look up - he's pale, and his voice is thin] That sounds like an excellent idea, thank you...

DEEP WITHIN

[if the curious explorers navigate far enough within, they just might stumble across the one and only "man-made" structure to be found: an abandoned play-structure, upside-down and ensnared by roots. It is molding and slicked with water, but the plastic slides and tubes are still intact.]

[This is where Del gets to, all things said and done. She seems to be taking a lot of joy in climbing all over it...]

[Jilly's normally one to find joy in things where no one else does...but when she finally makes her way over the treacherous ground to where she can see the upside down play equipment, she just stops to stare. Her thoughts are conflicted as she watches Del, a bright bit of color in the gloom.

[She clambers around, hair twining in and out of things significantly more gracefully than she herself is. Finally, she tips back, and hangs from her knees, looking down at Jilly.]
