[Weeks of Inactivity later... Written by Pucci who has been merely observing more than anything lately.]

How many of you would label your powers as something 'abnormal' or 'one of a kind' where you are from? For what reason does this apply and are you persecuted at all for those powers, or do you just merely keep them hidden?

On the other end, how ( Read more... )

Mere curiosity. Longing for my own world, so I decide to learn of others to forget.

Do you have some kind of abnormal power then?

Indeed I do. It's something many people have within them but never realize or awaken it.

Wouldn't that be more normal than abnormal then? Or is the fact it's awake and you know the abnormality?

It can only be considered normal by those who have it. Those who it has not awakened in will likely never know the power even exists. The amount of users of the power who never awaken to it far exceeds those who can use it... but that's all part of the nature of the power.

Those who have not awakened it cannot see it, after all.

So really normal in this case is just relative. But isn't that the case for anything?

So what are these abnormal abilities of yours?

I guess so.

From my world, people wield 'Stands'. Physical manifestations of the spirit, wielding different abilities, unseen by those without them. Their strengths and abilities all depend on the person they come from, but generally they cannot exist without their host or outside of a certain range of them. However, some as a result of their ability, can continue to exist beyond the death of their host.

Or bring the dead back to life. Any number of things. There is no perfect stand. The greatest fighters merely play the strength of the stand to their advantage.

Interesting, so a manifestation of the spirit and different unique skills. Makes sense.

I wouldn't say I'm anyone abnormal where I'm from, though as a shinigami I'm a rarer sight for those of the living.

... A god of the dead? I've read about various kinds of them coming to this place, what exactly does being a shinigami entail for you? The usual, ferrying of the souls?

Pretty much, my job is in fact a ferryman too.
