[his fingers drum a bit on the journal before he finally decides to ask something that's been bugging him the past few weeks]

Hey, anyone got any idea why I keep getting called Mr. Lehane by a few of the townspeople?

At first I thought it was just a mistake, but there's been a few of them now...

[This gets a snicker.]

There's a Ms. Lehane here who should probably be the one to answer that.

Not that I want to step on any toes or anything, but you know how some people just got married or whatever on Valentine's Day? Not a unique occurrence.

What?

Oh c'mon! Surely someone would've mentioned that if that happened!

Well, I don't think she'll avoid the subject now.

But, like I said, don't want to step on any toes. Not my story to tell.

...Pretty sure you already did step on some, but all right.

So who are you?

Name's York. I do the floor map.

[As good a reason as any to remember a name.]

...I had no idea there was a floor map.

If you got a computer, you can check it out on the CastleNet. I update it every couple days.

Wait, you saying this place's got the Net?

It's pretty small, 'cause barely anyone ever makes any content. But yeah, it does. Got the floor map, couple of webpages for businesses, some evil Flash games....

Hey considering we haven't had the net in a couple years back home, it being small ain't that much of a problem.

You can connect from any wireless device - this place even has a cell phone tower, if you decide you need a phone for some reason.

[He thought he'd remembered Reno talking about cell phones like they were normal in his world.]

Huh.

Looks like the boondocks is trying to upgrade itself.
