I have to entertain myself somehow. If it helps, I've had to go through worse. Least I get along with you.

There are some perks. But they don't outweigh the bad parts. And I don't like being trapped.

Right. Well, she was... I don't know. Leaner, tougher. Had a scar on her lip, and it didn't look new. Her hair and clothes were different too. And she wanted to kill me more than usual. Without her usual sense of humour, too.

I see no reason that the Castle would induce kissing on Arbor Day... there would be little point in such a thing when it seems to have nothing to do with the actual holiday itself, do you not think?

I'm Spike. It was a few days ago. She tried to kill me and didn't make any quips while doing it. And like I said, her hair, her clothes, the scar on her lip... she wasn't acting herself.
