Umm, I just wanted to apologize to anybody I might have offended over the last week. Either in person, or as a cat... I mean, I don't want to make excuses for it, or anything, but I was... really rude to some people, and I apologize.

[Filter: Doctor ???]

Thank you for helping me out the other day. - Uh, this is Ivan, by the way.

Hmm? You're welcome? I'm afraid I don't recall helping you, but that's not to say that I didn't in some way or another. There are three of me here, now, after all.

Three of - oh. [of course it is entirely possible that there's more than one doctor here, this makes sense.] Sorry, I didn't get his actual name... does the filter not work, if I don't have that?

Oh, no, it works just fine. It just opens it up so all of us can see it. The filter would also include all those who are doctors, not just those of us who are The Doctor.

[confused yet?]

If you want to be more specific, start by narrowing it to The Doctor. If you want to be even more specific, just include which one of us you mean. Some refer to us by number, some have nicknames, either works.

Okay, so... there's multiple doctors, but three "The Doctor"s? Then, which one are you?

Knock knock. Who's there? Interrupting Doctor! who_never_would January 20 2011, 02:36:40 UTC
That's Eleven.

I'm Ten, and you're welcome. [There's definitely a bit of a grin there.]

Pretty blonde haired celery boy is Five.

[Snerk, "some of us have nicknames" indeed. Sorry Five.]

Ah, thank you! [he already said that, but IT'S TO THE RIGHT PERSON THIS TIME. ta-daa!] Five, Ten, and Eleven. That seems a little bit random...

Random? Not so very. We're Time Lords. When mortally wounded we don't die, we regenerate. I'm my Eleventh incarnation. Although, if you don't mind, I'm not too fond of Eleven. If you don't want to think of your own nickname for me you could use Zivilyn.

so many Doctors. all the Doctors. sparkplasma January 24 2011, 17:13:42 UTC
[Oh, that makes sense. Ten => Eleven... Some of the stuff Ten told him earlier falls into place. Could this be.... the idiot?

NOT THAT HE'S GOING TO REPEAT THAT.]

I see... Does that mean there's a Six through Nine, too, then?

more too love! hulloeverything January 24 2011, 22:13:19 UTC
More than that! There have been numbers One through Eleven in total. Just not all of us have been here, or are here.

Wow... eleven lifetimes, though. That's amazing... [But also kind of sad, and it comes through in his voice.]

I've lived over 900 years so far. And, believe me, I'm not done yet.

[Eleven LONG lifetimes, holy crap. Or maybe one long one followed by a bunch of increasingly short ones] That's incredible. I don't know if even the Lemurians live that long.

Lemurians? Can't say I've heard of them before. What are they like?

I'm not totally sure - I only met one of them, personally. But they're a clan of Mercury Adepts from a lost continent hidden in the fog... there's something in the water that makes them live for hundreds and hundreds of years. But... from what Felix told us, a lot of them had given up on their lives, because nothing ever changed.

Gave up because nothing changed? Well that's when you make a change!

Well, that's what some of them were beginning to do. Especially Piers - the one that I met. He's really passionate about his people, but I can't help thinking... Change doesn't come quickly in a place like that, so he's really got his work cut out for him.
