Yes. Of course, all cultures have interesting views of the afterlife, but the Egyptians put so much ritual into how they preserved and protected the dead.

You know those curses people think come with Egyptian tombs? Many of them are actually real.

Oh, yes. The Egyptian wizards put all sorts of curses on the tombs. I haven't had the chance to see them in person, but I read all about them. If you like, I could show you some books on the subject.
