Fifty Five

How long does it take for the castle to fix, like, a WHOLE room?

Because someone. Who's name begins with a C and ends in a E and has ORALIN in the middle thought it'd be the best idea ever to glue all my stuff to the ceiling. And now I'm living with her.

In her creepy girl's room.

Just give me an estimate for when the mental scarring will end, '

[Jo is laughing, quietly, but laughing. She'll have to make a note to give this Coraline girl a high-five if she ever meets her]

To the ceiling? That takes some talent. Usually, things'll fix in a day or two. Longer if the castle thinks you need to stay elsewhere. [she'd make a comment about her own roommate situation, but he's still in a coma. sob;;]

You could get a tent and sleep in the lobby or in the ballroom if it's empty. Sort of -- camping outdoors... indoors thing.

...You mean the lobby which is the centerpoint for all things weird?

Well, only every other day. [she's teasing]

Don't you have any other friends you can camp out with?

Sure, I guess. But she'd only drag me back. She's weird.

Maybe she likes having you as a friend. [note the careful wording there...]

[The careful wording is a good thing indeed]

I guess so? I mean, she is my best friend...

Then, it shouldn't be the end of the world. It's just a few days. I bet you figure out something fun to do. Like Jenga. [Jo loves Jenga.]

...Jenga? [Oh kid of the noughties, what are board games]

It's a game. I think it's in the game room, with all the board games. It's a tall box with wooden pieces.

...It's not a video game? [CRIME AGAINST NATURE D:]

[laughs]

Nope. No controllers or electricity required. Just some hand-eye coordination and some slow motions. It's actually pretty fun.

It sounds boring.

Well, maybe one day I'll play it with you and kick your butt at Jenga. Then we'll see how fun it is.

And I'll kick your butt at the X-Box.
