[Mat liked the stables. Or, more specifically, he liked the horses. There weren't any tracks to bet at or farmers to deal with, but there was something good about being around the stoic animals. Something that felt like home... not that he'd ever admit it to anyone, himself included.
With the rumors of a unicorn being housed there now, as well, Mat had to go check it out. After all, how many chances did you get to see how horses and unicorns compare? Only once he gets there, there's something else that steals his attention.
Oh, sure... there's a unicorn. Gorgeous and white and letting off rainbows and butterflies... but it's the shaggy brown mare in the stall next to it that has him staring. The very familiar, shaggy brown mare that definitely hadn't been there the last time he visited]
