Oh no...

No, no, no!

[There's a very loud whirring sound that sounds a bit... muffled somehow. Possibly many whirring sounds. It's safe to assume that whatever they are, they are not a good sign.]

Please turn off, please! Uhhh...

[Frantic clicks and snaps and maybe a little pounding of a fist against something large and metal can be heard, but ( Read more... )

[Over the journal since he's in the city]

That doesn't sound...

Merlin? What happened?

[His head pops up from beneath a pile of suds like a gopher poking its head from the ground. He looks every which way.]

Allen? Where are you? These machines... I don't think this is what they were intended to do.

I'm in the city...at my house-

Which machines are you talking about?

[Ah, so he's speaking through the journals. It figures it would open at for Merlin's finest hour.]

They're these giant... metal things. I was told they're meant to wash clothes, but all they've managed to do is wash the floor.

I-I see...

Hold on, I'll be there soon. In the mean time...could you try going behind the machines and pulling out the cord that connects them to the wall? That should stop them...

Oh! And whatever you do, don't put anything into the little slots that are in the wall!

I've managed to stop them--somehow. But if pulling the cord will make certain they don't start up again, I'll do it. And, not that I'm going to, but what are these little slots in the wall for?

[sloshing sounds as he makes his way toward the machines again]

Yes, it will definitely make sure they don't start up again. The slots in the wall are to give energy to the machines that are plugged into them. To touch them well....you know what happens when a person gets hit by lightning? I mean, I guess it's not as potent but...

[And there's footsteps here as he's going to grab his coat and boots]

[There's some metallic clattering as Merlin tries his hardest to reach behind the washing machines... these things are extremely heavy and when he pushes, his shoes slide across the floor. He refuses to give up, putting all his wait into his shoulder.]

Right. Wouldn't... want... that...!

[Heave... HO! He rams his shoulder against the side of the machine and his feet slip on the slippery floor beneath him, bringing him flat on his face on the ground.]

...ow.

[asfkljdfjaksdsf HE CAN HEAR ALL THAT]

A-Ah...maybe you can wait until I get there...[I forgot that you might not be that strong]

[From beneath the sea of suds]

Right! I'll just stay here. [On the ground.]

Okay!

[And he's off running to get it back to the castle; TIMESKIP and since he decided that running up the stairs or using the elevator would take too long, he...sorta used his spider-man powers to get him up to the window of the laundry room and you might hear the sound of the window lock being sliced by some talons before he pushes the window open]

Merlin!? [OH DEAR GOD THE SUDS ARE EVERYWHERE]

[A hand pops up from the sea, giving him a thumbs up. IT'S COOL, HE'S GOT THIS. Sort of. Not really. Help. :(]

[sdjklfds SEES THE THUMB, OH DEAR GOD]

Merlin!

[He'll deactivate his innocence and climb through the window with the intent of reaching the washer and you poor bastard, but whoops this floor is slippery so have a loud yelp as he falls into the sud sea]

[The time for joking is over now, and Merlin, afraid to stand and slip yet again, crawls toward Allen. Or at least, the direction in which he'd heard Allen's voice.]

Forgot to mention the floor's a bit slippery. [Although that really should be a given... He reaches him and attempts to help him up to his knees.] Are you alright?

[meanwhile he'll be pulling himself up slowly to his knees and appreciates the help from Merlin!]

Y-Yeah...I'm fine, thank you.

This is...much worse than I thought it'd be.

That's not exactly reassuring. [He brushes a bit of soap from Allen's arms.] The instructions seemed simple enough, but I didn't think I'd put enough soap flakes in there.
