A new year... no doubt we've got any number of tragedies waiting to catch us unawares. My sincerest apologies to you poor unfortunates who've recently found yourselves here. Do try to keep your chins up, though. There's plenty of reason to despair, I suppose...but seeing as we've no way of escaping it, we must try to make the best of things, mmm?

[John uses the kitchen a lot. He stays away from the microwave, because that's the Devils Cookpot, but he's just about figured how the stove works. He pauses as he enters...fish huh, and here's him wanting chicken]

[at the sound of someone else entering, Puddle will turn from his place at the stove to regard the newcomer.

There is now a very tall (Abel-sized tall), green skinned, web-fingered creatures watching you, John. That's possibly a mix between a human and a frog. Or maybe a spider. What do?]

I suspect that I'll have gone and overcooked it, but that's kind of you to say.

[He stares for a moment or two, but John doesn't isn't afraid of anything. Except cougars. Luckily for both of them, Puddle is not a cougar]

Can't say I'd know. I'm not much of a chef, and my wife's food could kill you.

Ah, yes...I'm afraid that might be a side-effect of this as well. I've tried something new, and I'm sure it will have disastrous effects...

Oh, I'm afraid I'm all too optimistic, I've got all too much bobance and bounce and it is a frightful shame, when such frivolous moods can lead to such harm. But I do try to take life seriously, for what it's worth.

Well, that's mighty kind of you, Friend. I can't say I'm much of a cook myself, my wife less so, so I imagine it's better than most I've tasted.
