[The fact that he had woken up to the frequent yaps of Ratchet to find a certain familiar cat named Arthur back in his room was more than enough to raise a few questions in Gino's head. He had gotten up, grabbing both Arthur and his journal to take a quick run down to the third floor, wondering if Suzaku had just decided to leave Arthur back with ( Read more... )

[Ashura was out for his morning walk, as he took every morning lately, a way to meditate and clear his mind. He had much information to think on since the dreams. Much. And sitting in his room was not a good way for him to think, regardless of how big he had made it now to properly reflect what he was used to.

He caught Gino's words on the stair well as he walked down, turning the corner.]

I am sorry. He was a friend of yours?

[Gino was almost lost for the moment in his pouting, but he stops when he hears that familiar voice nearby. He turned and looked over at Ashura, wanting to force a smile but this time he doesn't. He closes his journal, and nods slightly.]

Yes. He was a friend from home, as well as another member of the Knights of the Round.

[Ashura nodded, reaching out and touching Gino's shoulder.]

I am sorry. I know it must have meant a lot, to have someone from your own world here.

[This time he'll force a smile, or try anyway, shaking his head slightly.]

It's happened before. Both he and Lelouch-senpai were here twice and left shortly after their arrivals. I'm sure they're better off at home, anyway.

[Not that he enjoyed going through it, while Arthur gave another sad meow.]

[Liadrin responds by speaking directly through her journal; confusion evident in her voice, though sympathy as well, as it is obvious Gino is upset.]

Apologies. Perhaps I do not clearly understand-- but is going home, returning to the world where you belong, undesired?

Ah, I assume you're new here, then? Yeah, some people will be sent back to their own worlds without warning. It's always good to hear they've returned, in a way, but sometimes it's hard to take in at the same time.

I am. Thank you for the explanation, I can't imagine this is easy for you.

[This makes perfect sense to her. In fact, being left behind is a feeling she's certain most anyone can relate to. The Blood Knight's ears wilt just slightly as she responds.]

Will you be all right?

[Though he can't see her, he's put a forced smile on his face, but it fades quickly. Really, he was never sure if he'd be fine after cases like this.]

Yeah, I'll be alright. This isn't the first time it's happened, and I'm sure it won't be the last. Thank you for the concern, Miss.

[He'll pause a moment, but somehow gives a small laugh, at least wanting to try to put himself in a better state for her.]

Thank you, but there's no need to trouble yourself with it. I certainly appreciate the offer, Miss.

[He'l give another small laugh, though this one is a bit more genuine than that last one and gives a faint smile.]

I don't think I'm very good at hiding things in general. But I wouldn't wish you trouble yourself with such an ordeal on my account.

......! [the news shocks and saddens her both; there was so much she had wanted to say to Suzaku, but never did -- many minutes pass before she attempts to speak once more, trying to keep her voice steady. It cracks a little, despite her efforts]

Thank you for making this known.

[okay, now to go emo in a corner]

[He'll be hesitant at hearing Nunnally's voice, but really at this point he was hesitant around anyone. And really, he couldn't think of anything to say, aside from one thing.]

I'm sorry.
