Hey, Harmony? [Yes, he's treating the journal like an answering machine, so?Listen, I still feel bad about the way I treated you, and when I said I'd make it up to you, I actually meant it. I won't bore you with the details about why it's taken me so long, the point is that it shouldn't

Okay. Wait. There's far more serious things to be considering about this near-ramble of a voicemail-treatment to the journal. Yes, she was hurt when she was instantly judged by her beverage choice, but wasn't Roy just telling her that people will come around?
Maybe this was that coming around? He was cute, and he seemed to be genuine in his efforts. Thank goodness for voice posts magically recording.
Rather than reply back, she just wishes up something fitting for going to the gym. It's not like she's used to going to the gym, all she ever did in high school was fake cramps to get out of gym.
She shows up though, looking slightly unsure.]
Uhm... hi? [little wave]

He hadn't been sure at what point she would get his message, or even if she would come but! here she is, suited and booted no less.
Things are definitely looking up!]
Glad you could make it.

You don't think I'm fat, do you? Because, I mean, I totally walk like five miles a day.

What? No. No, not at all. You look fine.
[He sighs, runs a hand through his hair, then motions at the gym horse. He walks over to stands to one side of it, to help her up if need be.]
C'mon, grab a seat.

[that's a relief. she'll go toward the gym horse and hop up onto it, not really needing help. She's got upper body strength to spare]
So, what's up? I mean, the whole thing on the journal was nice. I appreciated it, but I don't understand why the gym is the mystery setting.

[He looks up at her on the horse.]
I said I'd take you out, I also said that I'd make it up to you. So I thought what better way to show you just how sorry I am than giving you a hopefully never-to-be repeated, no holds barred opportunity to kick my sorry butt all over these mats.
[He's grinning. No, he's not crazy. He's confident, but not cocky. He knows she probably has enhanced strength and speed, but that's nothing he hasn't faced before. And besides, it'll be excellent practise for his defence.]

Really? You're just going to let me ... beat you up? That's kinda strange, even for this place.

I know how to take a punch.

You just want me to ... hit you?
[makes a face] Is this a trap?

Harmony: [she's still cautious, but really, what has she got to lose. It's not like she wouldn't mind decking him for all the comments and assumptions he made earlier, it's just, well, not exactly professional or ladylike] Okay. [she takes a breath and possibly overthinks it all, but she sets her stance and swings toward him]
Dick: [She's thinking too much. Dick sees it on her brow. He catches her punch with ease, then, stepping back into his own stance, he releases her hand.] Don't think so much. I could tell where you were gonna hit me before you even curled your fist. [It's meant to be friendly, helpful advice, but it's possibly a bit too much to the point, but that comes from training with Damian more often than not, and that kid responds to instructions like no other.]
Harmony: [frowns, looking up at him] Why shouldn't I think about where I want to ( ... )

Dick: Just- [he catches (winces - just a little) deflects, and grins] -like that, yeah!
Harmony: [she spots the wince, even if it's slight - her sight is pretty keen, given that she's a vampire] Oh! I'm sorry.
Dick: [He's had far far worse from a friendly spar. He laughs.] Man, you oughta try this with Bruce, then see how much you apologise.
Harmony: [curious glance] Who's Bruce? [moves to shift her stance again to go for another kick]
Dick: [He continues to defend Harmony's attacks, giving a little ground by backing up, utilizing the large gym mat.] He's the man who taught me everything I know. [There weren't really words to express just what Bruce was to Dick. He'd been a mentor, a partner, a father, a brother and a friend, and so much more.] Or he was. He ( ... )

Dick: [He shrugs] I feel bad. You don't have to stay if you don't want to, just- tell me what I can do to make it right.
Harmony: [shrugs] I'm down here and I'm actually learning something. If you don't mind staying; I'll stay to learn.
Dick: [That pretty much makes his day. Thank you, Harmony.] Okay, so... I guess we should build on what you already know. Have you had any sort of training?
Harmony: [thinks about it] I have my work-out tapes, but I'm... kind of lazy about them. I won the last fight I was in though! [she truthfully did... of course she also staked the girl with a pencil on a boardroom table...]
Dick: Well, that's a start. [Sort of. In truth, he's not actually that surprised. She's a vampire after all.]
Harmony: [a grin of pride] I mean, before I moved to LA I got in a fight with Xander and that wasn't pretty at all. [all slapping and ... well, slapping] So, I ( ... )

Dick: [She's making steady progress, but it'd be too soon for Dick to attack back at her, so he still keeps his guard up at all times. His dodges though, they become more elaborate and even necessary when Harmony moves through a selection of combos he taught her, one right after the other. Her sheer force is enough to send him retreating, each punch is followed by a kick ( ... )

Harmony: [she nods, almost too eagerly, which she realizes and tones down to a casual gesture] Of course, I mean, it's a good thing to learn. This place gets kind of crazy.
Dick: [He nods, yeah, crazy, and that's putting it lightly.] Consider it a date. [Of course he doesn't mean that, not literally. The gym does not a good date spot make.]
Harmony: [she nods, in agreement this time] Sounds good. [then, she adds, just as a footnote] You don't owe me anything anymore, either. So, if you just want to talk to me. You know, like on the journal or something, you don't have to start it out with an apology. [she smiles, a bit of warmness and honesty there for him] We're good.
Dick: [Dick smiles in response, equally as warm, and honestly grateful for being forgiven.] I'd like that.
Harmony: [exhales, again unneeded, but it felt ( ... )
