Tell me about it. It's some sort of loss.

And...I doubt it. If he's putting as much effort into selling the bloody things as he usually uses up in keeping customers away, well, Paradisa will have a lot of interesting new reading material.

I was just thinking about going to the tried and tested method of threatening and stealing to get the books back.

[a sigh]

He sold me his rare volumes.

...possibly his rarest. I've got them in the TARDIS for now. [the why and wherefore should be pretty obvious, she's thinking]

Ugh. He's going to throw a bloody massive spaz once this is over.

...Thanks. He'd be very upset if those were out of safe hands.

I can't think of a safer place than with the Doctor.

...at least he was desperate enough that he named a price I could manage. [barely]

....I'm going to be really sick of peanut butter and jelly before he's back to normal, though.

You have a very good point there.

[A pause]

...What has peanut butter and...jelly got to do with it? That's a really weird combination, you know.

My savings are currently part of the "save the Angel's rare books" fund.

[....] Of all the things that could be called weird in the castle, I'm not sure why that's one of them...

[There's a long pause here] Will you let someone else wish up food for you?

Jelly and peanut butter isn't exactly a normal combination.

That wasn't a-

...okay, it was a complaint. But not a serious one. I've got by on worse.

[strange look at the journal] That's about as normal a combination as you get. PB&J...

I practically grew up on them before I... was a kid. [because, when you're 9 and your parents don't care, it's the easiest thing to make]

I don't care, and you didn't answer my question.

[Longer pause] This just furthers my case that America is a strange and unusual place and I should be glad I wasn't sent to work there.

[a laugh] I'm fine, Crowley. Honest. And no... don't wish anything up.

...you've never had one, have you

You have no money. It doesn't take a PHD to know that means you have no food.

...Can't say I've ever felt the need to combine those two foods, no.

I said I bought groceries before I bought the books. I have food. [just... not a lot]

You can't complain about it if you've never tried it.

...Hi, have we met? I'm Crowley.

[a....pause] I can make it work.

[alright, fine. Laughing] Your loss, then.

...That's not the answer I was looking for. I'll buy you some food. [Because you're family now and that means you'd doomed to be watched over FOREVER]

I...really don't think so, somehow.
