Halloween for the past two years, and now a change. I wonder if Paradisa just gets tired of the same routine? Maybe it just gets tired of people too. [Speaking of bratty kids... here's one coming into the lobby, jumping lightly down the stairs as he retreats from a very uncool conversation with his guardian. He's got a ragged, roughed-up journal in his fingertips and a dissatisfied look on his face; he prowls straight up to the nearest couch, vaults over the back one-handed, and lands buttfirst to sprawl over the whole thing.

He picks a few splinters out of the book's cover before he flips it open. It's weirdly stained, too... obviously he got a hand-me-down. Great. Thanks, giant haunted castle. Thanks a bunch.]

[huh... is that seriously his castle journal? Rin pauses in scanning the ghosts and kind of stares at him curiously, both because he's a kid she doesn't kind of recognize on sight and because she wonders what he's reading, if it's a book and not a journal after all.]

[shoulders hunched and not paying attention to much, he's got a shopping bag tucked under one arm. As he wanders in from outside, he almost passes Rin right by before he notices who it is out of the corner of his eye. He'd probably have just walked right by if it hadn't been for the fact that he hadn't actually seen her around in... months, maybe?]

[calling her name catches her attention, and she actually finds a genuine smile for him, lifting a hand.]

[ Rin's not the only one who is hanging out in the lobby, looking for ghosts. After Kara caught a glimpse of her father earlier, she's been floating throughout the castle, not really paying attention to anything, just looking for more people she knows. Knew. Definitely knew.

This wandering eventually leads her to the lobby. Still floating and looking a little down, though she's doing better at hiding it than she was yesterday.. ]
