The alteration of locations, once resembling a small town in the United States of America and once resembling medieval Europe. An expedition team was also sent out into the 'Dead Zone' - a space surrounding Cair Paradisa in which all life forms are rendered human-like, and most technology does not function correctly.

In July of this year a small life form resembling a typical Earth spider appeared in Cair Paradisa, requesting help in the Dead Zone to the south and west. An expedition team was sent out and encountered hostile human-spider hybrid life forms. Recently, the initial spider returned to Cair Paradisa, but was killed by humans who reside in the Dead Zone for unknown reasons.

In the location resembling medieval Europe technology was reduced to that time period. Some Cair Paradisa residents found themselves able to manipulate data in a way referred to as 'using magic'. Other residents who are not typically human had their biological makeup manipulated - most residents were referring to them as being 'demonic'. Three human residents were included for unknown reasons. Other human life forms fulfilling medieval roles such as 'king' were present, though they were not residents of Cair Paradisa. The aim of this situation was to defend against an invading force of life forms many residents called 'demons', led by the human-turned-'demon' residents. They have since returned to their normal biological makeup. This occurred in July.

In the town the biological makeup of all residents was manipulated to resemble regular humans or animals commonly found on Earth. Most residents had their ages manipulated so they could attend high school, though several residents were placed in teaching positions. There was also a hostile infestation of foreign parasitic life forms. The aim of this situation seemed to be requiring the residents to attend high school and then defeat the parasitic life form. This occurred in September.
