[Barging into Raistlin’s room was a daily occurrence for the kender. Full of questions or stories, he’d make his way to the 6th floor, swiftly take care of the lock on the mage’s door, and disrupt his work until he was either distracted or kicked out. Today was no different

[Well... here to disrupt the mood is one Hanna. He's meandering down the hallway when he spots his little buddy and starts jogging towards him]

[Or at least... until... he sees how still he's being. Granted he doesn't know much about him but... Hanna's pretty sure he can never remember him being so still... He slows down, coming to a stop by the kender's side and peering into the empty room]

W... what'cha looking at...?

[everborrowing]

[glancing up, he gives Hanna a very serious look. He is not a happy kender]

I was looking for my friend.

...but he's not here anymore.

[O... oh... Well, Hanna really doesn't like that look. And he also doesn't like that another one of his friends' friends has been sent home. Not cool. Not. Cool. Grumbled: ]

Seems like that been happening a lot lately...

[a nod, trying to think this through]

He's probably not very happy about it, what with getting so close to the castle's power and all and I know he really wanted to know more about it... but maybe it's a good thing too, because that much power could be really dangerous and it'd be hard to protect him if he started messing around with forces that big, though I'd try... of course.

[troubled look] Only I can't really protect him if he's there and I'm here, either.

[W... wait... One of Tas' friends who's trying trying to get power? Get... the castle's... power...?]

[No. No it... can't be...] H... hey Tas...? What did you say your friend's name was...?

[not noticing any distress, still thinking about his friends, all alone with him to keep them out of trouble] Raistlin.

Oh... Is uh... Is he really in trouble...?

[a sigh] Well, no. I mean, he's not as weak as he looks, but he's not really good about working with people and sometimes he does things that could get him hurt. And normally Caramon - that's his brother - looks out for him and keeps him safe, but right before I showed up here he'd gone off on his own and didn't have Caramon with him or anything, but that was okay because then I was here with him...

Only now, no one is.

O... oh... Maybe he'll come back...?

[a slow nod] He might... I mean, he hadn't exactly figured out what he wanted to figure out. At least, I don't think he did. And he doesn't really like it when puzzles are left undone. It makes him really irritable...

[because if anyone could will themselves back into Para, it'd be Raistlin]

[...But everyone says you forget once you leave. Man, that's depressing. He won't bring that up, sob]

[a sigh, suddenly looking more determined] Well, if he's not here, I'll just have to find out how the castle works myself. And I bet that'll require all sorts of adventures, so I'll have stories to tell Raist and Flint!

Definitely! [Also more determined!] We gotta figure this castle out anyway. This is just another reason. [He'll see you again, mage buddy B( You think you can get away from him WELL THINK AGAIN]

[nodding emphatically] We'll figure it out, for sure, and have all sorts of things to tell him.

[it... might be a good thing for Raist that he got away when he did]
