[with several new people showing up at the outpost, the urge to be somewhere else is greater than ever. It is ultimately what helps him make the decision to finally brave the Dead Zone side of the outpost. Feeling good enough now to be up and moving around, but powers still mostly absent due to his healing arm, it seems like a good opportunity to do something he wouldn't be able to tolerate otherwise.

So, after standing somberly on the border for a while, gazing into the Dead Zone as if staring down into an abyss, he crosses over and heads to the other building]

[hey, Yuki's monitoring programs are not liking him suddenly disappearing, so she'll close her book and leave the outpost, trotting over to where he was last.

And she proceeds to walk into the Dead Zone to find him.]

[he's not liking being out in the open, so he's lurked his way to the building as quickly as possible. He shouldn't be too hard to find]

[it'll be the first place she checks! She'll open the front door a tiny bit, peering in before entering]

[he's luckily still just inside, taking his time once he's inside. Even though he's technically been without his powers for several days, there's something about the absoluteness of the Dead Zone that makes him hypervigilant. Hearing the door open, he turns and glances over his shoulder]

[... and this is where she realizes she didn't bring her book, so she can't go sit down somewhere and start reading.]

[so she'll just close the door and stand there]

he watches her for a moment--considering--before he seemingly brushes it off, and goes to continue on his way through the outpost... keeping a careful ear on the girl as he goes]

[will follow him around, but will at least keep a tactful amount of distance between them]

[it doesn't take him long to confirm that he is indeed being followed. Finally, he pauses in a corridor]

You're following me.

[bogusmagic]

[stops as well]

Yes.

[his eyes narrow just a little. Not necessarily threatening, but not exactly pleased either]

[rolls in on this scene with her Absol at her heels, from where she was chilling in her room. Tad is in the hall behind her too.]
