[The second Batman is outside, somewhere where there is a convenient tree. And that convenient tree has a nice and convenient knot in it. That convenient knot makes for great Batarang target practice. He throws one into the knot and then makes a line of them going down the tree. When he gets to the base of the trunk he goes and collects them before repeating the process.
