[the funny thing about living in mansions that the castle gives you is that sometimes... weird things happen. for instance, leisurely exploring your own home only to find that the door you've never bothered to open before is actually a portal back to the castle

[him throwing her off might help a little.]

Oi! [She manages to roll to the side and sort of get her bearings.]

[he realizes, as he's standing up, that he should probably act somewhat civil while he's in this situation. he still looks annoyed, but the lady filter is on now.]

Where did you just... come from?

[he looks up... and sees a ceiling.]

That's... A bit more bizarre than usual.

[he adjusts his hat. looks as cool as one can manage while they're up to their waist in brightly colored balls. heh.]

This isn't how I intended to spend my afternoon.

I doubt any of us wanted to flail around in a pit of brightly colored plastic balls.

[so he picks up a couple as he's wandering towards the netting, ends up distractedly juggling them because that's just what you DO with these sorts of things... until he tosses them all at Kallen.]

When in Rome, I suppose.

[And she's able to swat each of them away in succession, glowering at him as she does so.]

What was that for?!

I got used as a landing cushion. I think this is perfectly fair.

[throws a couple more, a bit harder this time. how well can you dodge, woman?]

Your definition of fair is skewered! [She ducks down, avoiding one and bats away another two before scooping up a few of her own and lobbing them in his direction.]

[manages to dodge all but the last one, which he catches and immediately tosses back.]
