HOT AIR BALLOONS

[Hot air balloon rides. Balloons are on cables, so they can't drift too far or too high, but otherwise, one is free to take them and drift up above the town, able to see everything for miles, and miles around.

Around where the Dead Zone is, there's a glass-like haze, seemingly to prevent people from seeing too far.]

THE FOUNTAIN

[The fountain's flowing, but for today, all the water is tinted pink, and balloons float on the surface. Some town kids are splashing around in it; feel free to do the same]

there's what looks like the stick-end of a piece of rock candy in her mouth, even though we all know she wouldn't be saying jackshit even if there... wasn't... anyway she bends over to pick up a red balloon off the surface of the water, holds it up, and and looks at its glossy surface thoughtfully with her creepy january jones deadeyes. she's actually in a good mood, not that anyone in the known universe would be able to tell; maybe she'll buy a balloon later.]

All right. [ as minato helps another kid into the fountain. he'll kinda zone in on Ai since she's the only one chillin a chill. though, he won't be staring long hur durp ]

[YEAH WELL TOO BAD because she will be staring at him forever... no not really just for a little while. she moves her hands apart and lets the balloon drop, then takes the candy out of he mouth. and then... kind of takes a few swishy steps through the water toward him. is she actually moving toward Minato? is she just walking for some fucking reason? WHO KNOWS either way, although she's walking in a straight line, the kids just seem to magically always scamper out of the way just in time for her to pass unimpeded]
