Indeed. Either the owner left in a great hurry, or he will be very surprised to come back and find his belongings missing.

Nothing seems especially out of the ordinary, though that may be the strangest thing of all.

There is no dust here, either, which would normally indicate that they were here until very recently. Surely if it was a resident, they would know by now that we've discovered their room.
