IN THE COURTYARD

[through the halls of the castle on every floor, there are small little elves... they look harmless, smiling and laughing, luminescent dust falling off their wings.

and there is a particularly large mass surrounding Rochine, who is giggling and laughing like a young girl. she's hovering in the sky above the courtyard. anyone with the ability to sense the power of demons/evil creatures would notice that her and her minions are giving off serious vibes.]

[thirteenth]

[His fight just happened to take him across their path, looking behind him for his second - Yoruichi - past the separating throng.

Raising his weapon, he stands ready.]

[she giggles playfully and waves a hand from her vantage point]

What, just an old man? I'm sorry, but I'm not interested in adults.

[thirteenth]

I will not let you pass here.

[pikafyou]

[she laughs, and her elves all laugh with her]

As if you have a choice!

[thirteenth]

[He just raises his weapon ready. She is just like a hollow, he will not allow her to distract him.]

[pikafyou]

[she sticks her tongue out at him... and then her elves swarm like bees towards him, becoming grotesque and insect-like as they tear stingers for his flesh]

[thirteenth]

[He's tired from the previous fights, but by no means helpless. His sword slashes and stabs through all the elves who get too close, attempting to get closer to her.]

[she's hovering up in the sky, a safe distance from his blade, looking more and more irritated as he slices her elves.

and when the elves fall, their bodies hitting the ground... they revert back to human children]

You meanie!! Stop killing my elves!!

He feels sick, disgusted, anger flaring inside him as he looks up at this thing that has enslaved innocents so.

Their glassy eyes seem to be staring accusation at him, but now is not the time for guilt or self-recrimination.]

[thirteenth]

[He shifts to using the flat of his blade, trying to knock out the elves instead of injure them, furiously pushing forwards towards her.]

Release them from this spell!

[pikafyou]

Spell? [she huffs, hands on her hips, still hovering out of reach]

Are you stupid? They're elves! And they want to be like this! You adults just don't understand!

[thirteenth]

[He's so angry, fury literally pounding through him as he slashes for her, trying to get enough height to do her damage.

How dare she do this to children!]

[she finds his anger hilarious, laughing - swooping low and fast as a bullet through the sky, that long antennae at her forehead pointed outwards and sharper than a needle, aiming to pierce through his shoulder as she whizzes by...

and the dust from her wings might be making him go slowly numb...]

[He grunts as his shoulder is pierced, lack of shunpo making him too slow to dodge in time. Fighting the numbing sluggishness of his limbs, he slashes towards that antennae.]
