[Kutner wakes up on the morning of the seventh, feeling woozy and with the headache to end all headaches, but at least he can remember the past week and a half CLEARY now. And in response to that week and a half now sitting in his head ... ]

What was that?

[Loss end! Thanks for playing with me, and backtagging is awesome.]

I believe that was one of the "losses" I've heard so much about. I was convinced I had known you for years... yet now I know I'd never met you before. ... This place may be even more powerful than I originally thought.

Yeah, well, I knew this place was powerful, and this wasn't my first loss, but I've never had anything like that happen.

For what it is worth ... you were an apt pupil. I had never had the experience of actually teaching someone, before.

Simply out of curiosity ... can you still cast anything?

Probably not. My world doesn't really have any magical qualities.

You haven't tried? ... I would think that after possessing such power, the first thing someone would do would be to see if they still had it.

While it would be cool if I did? If I still had the ability it wouldn't be a loss. Plus, it might take away some of the awesome of this place, and I wouldn't want to do that.

["some of the awesome". ... give him a second to make sense of your slang. thankfully, Hanna already told him the modern Earth connotations of 'awesome', so it doesn't take long]

So you enjoy being here, then...?

I do. It's way more interesting than where I'm from.

Mm. ... Why, how did you occupy your time there?

Video games, movies, hanging out with friends. Work.

Yeah. They're computer generated games?

[he's seen your "computers" and found them nothing more than heavy books for people with attention issues. disdainfully]

And the point of them?
