I've read your book for long enough to figure out how it works, but I'm finding it makes for particularly boring reading. I would like this place explained, clearly and concisely, and without all the unnecessary drivel.

There's not much else to really say. Magic castle, you are stuck here till it sends you back to where you came from, make yourself at home.

And the least you could do is say 'please'. It's usually the best way to get the information you want.

But really? This book is quite thick. I'd think you'd know more about the castle than THAT.

Well, it's not me that's captured you. To be frank, I'm stuck here same as you. Those that answer you are as equally captive.

Much of it is learn as you go - having it explained sounds somewhat unbelievable until you actually do it yourself or have it done to you.

No, I'd rather not "learn as I go" when I can get the relevant information now. I'd rather do my homework and be well prepared.

And perhaps you should not have assumed so much. It is a bad practice.

This castle makes a habit of destroying the best laid plans, so I would not rely to much on them if you plan to make them.

But, I suppose you dear deserve fair warning: for coming here, the castle has taken something from you - a loss. It can be a memory, an item, or a skill. But everyone has something taken, even if it is not immediately apparent. You and might be subject to further, more temporary losses according to the castle's whim.

Wrong assumptions can lead to actions that bring about unwanted consequences. And even if we were captors, your attitude would not have been very endearing towards the idea of mercy later on. But again, we're not your captures, just fellow abductees.

That, perhaps is the most important part of what you need to know. My recommendation is to discover what the loss is, if you can, in case it's a necessary skill or item. As for the rest - well, whatever you need will be provided for you in most cases, just ask the castle - though the bigger things you ask for, the more likely a loss.
