Impressive. Can't say I've heard of too many women in that line of work, but I'm sure not complaining. Someone's got to give the menfolk a run for their money.

[laughs] Oh, it's unusual enough where I'm from too, I guess. It just came to me sorta natural, growing up. My daddy says I have a gift.

I ain't never done as much ridin' horseback. Always been more for the mechanical transports, ya know? Not like the Cap'n.

It's a good path to take. Guns only end up making more use for them.

[a sympathetic sound] Ain't that the way of it? Cap'n gathered the crew on Serenity t'get away from the Alliance after th' war, but it seems we always manage to go an' git into the middle of some kinda trouble, Alliance or otherwise.

Alliance? If they're anything like the new government, they'll be impossible to shake. They drag you around like a dog on a rope.

Sounds about right. They play at bein' the saving grace of human kind, but they're more about tellin' ya where ya can go an' what ya can do, rather than bein' any sort of actual kind of useful.
