[ Not much time has passed since he set out from the camp where his companions were. They were all people he had to turn away from again, venturing out on that long trek once more. The forest was unforgiving and he hadn’t slept in so long. He decided to take a rest once had reached the next village over in a small inn. He hadn’t seen a nice, clean bed in some time.
Lancelot doesn’t wake in that tiny inn room, but what he suspects is the foyer of a grand castle. He must seem completely out of place in its great hall, still covered in the dirt from his recent trek across the woods. He runs his hand through his hair and wanders further in before speaking out into the room. ]
Hello…is anyone there? If you’re those who took the lady captive, I owe you nothing. She’s been returned home and I have no quarrel with you.
[ People wanting revenge on his recent deeds is the only thing that makes sense, but his hand stays close to the sword at his side as he waits for a response. ]
