[a laugh] I was working on a project and I guess I just lost track of time. I actually didn't mean to turn into a hermit.
[starting to make a drink for him, she'll give him a smile that's maybe a little troubled] I'm glad to see you, actually. With people already missing... it's nice to know others are alright.
...I'm working right now, or I'd come over, but...
[remembering what Oliver had told her] Some friends of mine are in the ballroom.
They're staying there to help organize the people going out and searching the town. They could probably use company and someone to help keep track of who's going where. If you were interested.
[and then she could make sure the girl wasn't alone, once she got back from town herself]
Yep! Right now, we don't have one. But it'd be a chance for the kids to be together and there are a lot of people here who could teach some pretty interesting things.
A school is a place where kids go to learn about different subjects from teachers. Back in my world, kids have to go. It's required. But here we don't have anything like that and some of the others miss it.
[while some of them would fight tooth and nail if anyone tried to make them go, but she doesn't mention that]
