~ fourth fairy tale

[Tabetha's disappearance from the castle, and therefore from her life, has left Amy feeling broody and unsuitable for company--especially Rory's. She knows he's just arrived, and she ought to be showing him what she knows of the ropes so far (never mind just being with him--he's her fiance, after all), but she's been left feeling badly unsettled by their sudden transformation into a family unit, and just as sudden transformation back into just Rory and Amy.

She'd thought she wasn't quite ready to settle down just yet, and very definitely not ready to have children any time soon, but it was hard to keep convincing herself of that when presented with both the fiance she's supposed to be running away from and a little girl who already loved them both as Mummy and Daddy. She'd thought she'd make a rubbish mother, but she'd ended up taking to it much more easily than she'd thought she would. And Rory had taken an instant shine to fatherhood. Of course he would. She knows it's what he wants for them, someday. She isn't ready for that, and yet...

Amy finds herself missing Tabetha in spite of all her misgivings.

And when Amy gets broody, she roams. Currently, she's roaming the castle, giving it a good proper exploration. She isn't going to intrude on any closed doors that bear nameplates, but all the blank doors--and any open doors--she considers fair game. If there's a nameplate, she just knock first. To her, "keep out" signs might as well say "welcome in".

On the sixth floor she does find a door with a nameplate that's ajar; it reads 'Raistlin Majere', and no one seems to be at home--she doesn't hear any moment inside. She knocks once]

Hello?

[and there's no reply, so after a furtive glance up and down the hallway, Amy slips inside for a quick look. It's like walking into a proper room in a proper castle. The books on the shelves seem to have glowing markings on the spines, and she lightly runs her fingers across them in fascination before turning to the next interesting thing in the room--an iron stand that, at first, she doesn't think holds anything. But she feels compelled to look closer, and on inspection finds it holds a little green marble.

That's funny, she thinks, a stand this big for such a little stone, and curiously, she reaches out to pick it up]

[ooc: Moar shenanigans in the comments! Amy's getting a canon bump to the end of episode seven, "Amy's Choice", courtesy of her own curiosity and Raistlin's dragon orb. Mod approved!
