[It's been 36 hours now since Lindsey had lost his and Harmony's son because of the castle. He tried to distract himself by just working out in the gym - he avoided putting his name in at Death Match because some of the people fighting there are crazy! - but it wasn't really working for him. So finally he took a breath and picked up the journal]

How's your life away from the castle going?

Sucks.

[exhales]

Now with one hundred percent less free stuff.

[thinks a moment]

I'd ask if you want to go shoot some stuff. I tend to find that it helps sometimes. And I'm being good and shooting targets and not people.

[the last line is being sarcastic]

Usually, I'd take you up on that, but I'd have to come all that way and right now I'm not actually planning on leaving here tonight.

No problem. Another time then.

Sure.

[then a nice lengthy pause]

You get a kid during this last debacle?

[evilhandissue]

[yeah, here's one back at you]

Yeah. Little boy. You?

[huntersdaughter]

[quietly]

Three year old girl.

[evilhandissue]

Mine was a baby.

[thinks a moment]

So can I assume that you're just as hurt and pissed as I am?

[huntersdaughter]

Yeah.

[she'd explain further, but really, there's no point to that, she assumes Lindsey feels the same]

Good to know I ain't the only one. Of course, it ain't a club I like being a part of.

You are definitely not alone in that sentiment, either.

Been feeling like it. Then again, don't know many people here and the ones I do seem to be disappearing now.

Yeah, I heard a few have left recently. Sorry, to hear that it was someone you knew.

Yeah. He had this loss and apparently became my best friend for the day. Helped teach me to shoot left handed. He was an okay guy.
