Parrots Perch & Splash Attack finesse_bottom May 12 2010, 14:40:21 UTC
[There's no telling what will get you wetter the 1,000-gallon wooden bucket that empties every ten minutes or the 500 feet of twisting open flumes and closed tubes gushing with swirling water.

It's a maze of soakin' good fun with a surprise centerpiece a huge tree house with more than 50 water play toys like jets, levers, and rope pulls, plus twisting slides. Enjoy the mini wave pool, plus bubbly springs and jumping jets for spraying and playing.]

[Little Laura is here, wearing a very sparkly yellow swimsuit and a little princess crown that somehow never falls off her head even when she's screaming and running around and indiscriminately playing with all the different water toys, always trying to aim the jets at Daddy. York is standing outside the structure itself, keeping an eye on her. He's wearing some rather glaringly green swim trunks and a light metal necklace with his dog tags and a few tiny waterproof devices. Delta and his armor are nowhere to be seen.]

[Molly is in blue and mostly using Anya's hands to walk through the water. She can walk on her own, just fine, but this is really new and a lot more difficult to maneuver than just the floor, but she's still having a lot of fun!]

Getting Wet!!! [she seems distressed by this, but Anya tries to assure her]

Me too, Molly, but it's perfectly fine! You'll dry.

[York waves.] Hey Anya! Molly, did you say that is?

[He waves up at Laura, who waves back.] That's my little girl up there.

She's quite adorable. [waves back to Laura]

Yes, this is Molly. I was partnered off with Billy. He's... taking it rather well.

[Molly lets go of one of Anya's hands to wave too, flicking water around as she does]

[Laura starts trying to shoot down at them with a little hose, but the water falls short. She doesn't seem to mind, though, giggling happily.]

Hi there, Molly. I'm York. Nice to meet you!

[He glances back up at Anya.] Tex is pretty good at playing stepmom. Better than I thought she would be, anyway.

You know, I don't think I've met Tex. [Molly moves a bit closer toward Laura and her water spraying, mostly curious how it works, so Anya lets her be led]

We should try to make plans to hang out.

[He rubs the back of his neck - though, since for once he's mostly not wearing his clothes, it becomes apparent he's rubbing a scar there and not just choosing a spot at random.] Well, she's not really that social? But I could introduce you.

[York follows, though if they get much closer they're gonna get splashed.]

I'd like that. [York's lack of clothing hasn't gone unnoticed, but she's also in an equal lack of clothing and it's not like York hasn't seen EVERYTHING on Anya, so she's not paying too much attention]

Is Laura from last year or is she new? [Molly is using her hand to try and splash at Anya]

[It's a little odd - most of York's other scars, notably the nasty one that used to be over his left eye, have been healed thanks to the Doctor's medical nannites. But that one on his neck isn't going anywhere.]

I met her last year. Did you ever know Princess Peach?

[Laura changes her angle and splashes York with her hosegun.] Hey!

I don't think I met her, but I am familiar with the name. It's sort of unique in that way.

[smiles and moves Molly to her hip just so she can bend down to scoop up a wayward toy and hand it to the little one]

Dis is mine!

It's for everyone to play with.

No! Mine!

[Anya sighs] She's a bit of a selfish thing.

Yeah. Woke up with her last year and found myself with my own little Princess. [Who he takes a moment to aim at with one of the stationary water guns - she shrieks and dashes out to find another water toy.]

Little kids are allowed to be selfish. They have tunnel vision. If it's not directly related to them, it's not important. So, every toy she sees must be hers, right?

Every toy she sees, anything she can get her hands on... she's been trying to take apart the child gate I put up at the Magick Box II, which I blame Billy for.

[Anya sets Molly down to let her toddle over toward Laura, giggling as she does, not sure where Laura is headed]

[Apparently Laura's headed over to the jumping jets and looking at them, trying to decide if she wants to risk it or not.

Although why she should care about getting wet when she's already soaking is beyond York.]

Yeah, they really have toyvision. There's only like one corner of my room that's kidproof. So mostly we play in her room.

I'm sure the children appreciate that we're not quite so resistant to taking care of them.

Considering the emotional toll they can put on us when they leave, it'd be nice if they weren't supposed to be genetically ours as well.

Some of us, anyway. There are some people out there who aren't too keen on having kids. Their loss, really.

[He doesn't really want to think about Laura leaving again. He doesn't - but it will happen, won't it? He rubs the back of his neck.]

Actually, I--I feel a little better about it since they came back this year. And they remembered us. Nobody else who leaves and comes back remembers.
